Strong Legacy, Promising Future
Founded in 2000, Magellan Aviation Group has grown into an industry leading supplier of commercial aviation aftermarket parts (USM). We pride ourselves on providing our customers with unique, cost-effective solutions, which provides them with the flexibility and response time that they need. By 2010, our growth and industry experience had led us to the development of a strategic partnership with Marubeni Corporation, one of the largest sogo shosa (Japanese general trading companies) in the world. Over the past 10+ years, this partnership has offered Magellan extensive resources to assist in our growth, allowing us to enter new markets and develop expertise of new product lines. The success of the partnership resulted in Magellan becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation in 2021.
Initially, Magellan focused on regional aircraft and engines. Over time, we have expanded our expertise and evolved into the Airbus A320 Series and Boeing 737NG Series aircraft and engines. With this current product mix we can support the daily requests for each airframe and engine platform. Recently, we expanded our engine portfolio to include the GE90-115B engine that powers the B777-300ER aircraft. It’s niche markets like the GE90-115B where the depth and experience of the Magellan team can see the opportunities to make a “first move” approach to continue building and growing our global business model. Our industry is a very crowded space but, we have set ourselves apart by providing exceptional service and solutions to our customers and will continue to build on that success for the foreseeable future.
Magellan has announced that Anthony Spaulding will be named President / CEO effective April 2023. With Tony’s appointment, Magellan is positioning itself to meet the industry challenges of today while continuing to grow to meet the requirements of the next generation of airframes and engines.
